SQUID - Swimming Queers United In Denver
SQUID Swim Team was founded in 1992 by a group of athletes preparing for the 1994 Gay Games. More than 80 members now participate in our swimming program. Recent accomplishments include 5th place at the 2009 and 2010 COMSA SCY Championships and 1st place at the Inaugural 2009 Rocky Mountain Autumn Gold Rush Invitational and the 2010 COMSA LCM Championships!
New swimmers ALWAYS welcome!
Our members range from top-notch competitive and fitness swimmers, open water swimmers and triathletes to swimmers that like the friendly atmosphere of our team, but never compete. Outside of the pool, we often share dinner after practice or brunch on Saturdays and have an array of social activities throughout the year. We welcome anyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, to our wor
kouts. Whatever your reasons for joining, you'll find that we have great workouts, fun social events, and exciting competitions. We participate in local meets with other masters teams, and national and international competitions with other lesbian/gay swim teams.
